Definitely a great series but I agree...the beginning drags...definitely worth
slogging through in the end
Not a bad review but you should probably provide at least some explanation of
the characters and basic plot
Not a bad review...might have been a bit more detailed with the plot and
characters though to give people who haven't seen it more of an idea of what
it's about
I'm a fan of the series myself
Hmm...I certainly didn't read so much into the anime when I watched it...I think
you might be stretching it to say people need to have such an academic
background in order to watch the series
While the parallels to Lord of the Flies are definitely interesting...I found
the details of the plot to be just ok and started dragging towards the end
Still...an interesting series overall
Great review!...it's so enthusiastic and energetic that I can feel it
I've been thinking about starting the show and this makes me want to check it
out even more
Nice review of Kare Kano...I feel you on the weak ending...it would have been
really interesting to see the difference some funding would have made...oh
well
The manga does continue the story much further though
An interesting comparison of the manga with the anime...I've only seen the anime
so I can't comment on that
You might have explained a bit more about the story/characters in detail, but
otherwise a useful review
This is one of my favorite anime movies ever
Not a bad job reviewing...although a bit more detail about the plot would
probably be helpful to people who haven't seen it
Hmm...interesting that you thought the manga and the anime were very
different...I found them to be almost identical in overall plot (obviously not
every detail could be squeezed in)
I thought the anime did a great job translating the style and mood of the manga
as well
Not a bad review, but you might want to give a few more details about the plot
and other characters
Great review of a great series...Utena really is an amazing mix of art, music
and plot for an amazing emotional series (excluding the one or two totally
random filler episodes)
This is one of the few series I've seen where repeated sequences are used with
such style
Great review...really hits all the key points
Good observation about the forum posts too...H&C is definitely a show that
brings out your thoughtful side (despite its wacky first few episodes)...so keep
watching!
I guess I have an inbetween opinion...I liked the anime but not enough to
warrant such high ratings (too many harem fillers got annoying) and I do agree
that more detail to back up your ratings would have been nice
Good effort though!
I agree with most of your points...however it's funny because I saw the movie
before the tv series...and that's what made me want to watch the series (in
spite of the truly wacky ending of the movie)
Of course that may have been because I was watching the movie in the middle of
the night...
Great review...really hits on all the reasons why Genshiken is funny and
realistic
I would disagree on the music part though...I actually find the songs very
amusing and fun to listen to...but that may be because they remind me of the
series
Quote by KoriVery good review, yieloon. I
agree with you very much on your description of the story and characters. The
story is indeed targeted for 18+ because of the conflict and thoughts you will
encounter at that age and up. And just like you said, those who have not reached
that age may find this show boring because they simply can't relate to the
characters and situations. Good review! *thumbs up*
Indeed, H&C is definitely a series for an older age...as someone almost
graduating college...I really felt touched by how realistic the series was...it
brought up a lot of really important and emotional issues...
and like crap, I'd almost give it a perfect 10...(if only it were longer...sigh)
Great review...well-written and you captured the main points of the show
Pretty good review...nicely written with detailed explanations

hehe...true true...
thanks for writing such a detailed and thoughtful review in any case
